Happy Birthday Milkha Singh: Indian former track and field sprinter who was introduced to the sport while serving in the Indian Army is celebrating his 90th birthday, on Wednesday. Milkha Singh also known as The Flying Sikh, was the only Indian athlete to win an individual athletics gold medal at a Commonwealth Games until Krishna Poonia won the discus gold medal at the 2010 Commonwealth Games. Milkha Singh also bagged gold medal in 1958 and 1962 Asian Games. Singh represented India in Summer Olympics 1956 in Melbourne, Summer Olympics 1960 in Rome and the Summer Olympics 1964 in Tokyo. Milkha Singh was awarded Padma Shri award, the fourth-highest civilian honour for his sporting achievements.
