Now, the railway passengers will be able to travel on trains from February 22 with unreserved tickets. However, this facility will only be available on selected trains. It is pertinent to mention that train travel was only allowed in special trains on reserved tickets (reservation) in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic. For this, the Northern Railway will run 35 unreserved mail and express special trains. In this regard, the Northern Railway spokesperson Deepak Kumar said that for the convenience of passengers, 35 unreserved special trains will be started from February 22. The railways had suspended passengers' trains in March, last year, following the national lockdown announced to combat the coronavirus pandemic.
