Farmers protest: Bharat Bandh on December 8; All you need to know
Farmers Protest latest news: As the fifth round of talks with the government was inconclusive, the farmers protesting in India against the Centre's farm laws 2020 have called for Bharat Bandh on December 8 as their demands haven't been met.
The farmers have stayed put on the Delhi borders with Haryana and Uttar Pradesh, blocking main routes leading to the national capital that has also led to long traffic jams.

The nationwide shutdown will begin from Tuesday morning till 3 pm in the evening. All the shops will remain closed for the whole day. The services for Ambulance and marriages have been exempted while the public has been asked to corporate.
According to the farmer leaders, they have conveyed their concerns to the Central government. After the December 5 meeting, the Bharatiya Kisan Union Rakesh Tikait said that the government will prepare a draft and give them.
He, then, announced that there will be Bharat Bandh against farm laws 2020 on December 8 as announced earlier.

Meanwhile, the Delhi Traffic Police stated that "Singhu, Auchandi, Piao Maniyari, Mangesh borders have been closed. NH 44 is also closed on both sides. The traffic has been diverted from Mukarba and GTK road."
The farmers have been protesting in India against the Farmers’ Produce Trade and Commerce (Promotion and Facilitation) Act, 2020, the Farmers (Empowerment and Protection) Agreement on Price Assurance and Farm Services Act, 2020, and the Essential Commodities (Amendment) Act, 2020.
Meanwhile, giving the latest news on farmers' protest, the top sources stated that the central government is seriously considering to repeal one of the three agriculture laws.
