Farm Laws 2020: Punjab farmers accept Central government's invitation for dialogue
Farmers protest: Days after the Central government called 29 farmers’ organisations of Punjab, agitating against the farm laws 2020, for dialogue, the Punjab farmers have accepted the invitation.
According to a letter issued by Sanjay Agarwal, Secretary of Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare on October 11, the Punjab farmers were called for the meeting on October 14 at 11.30 am at the Ministry.

Now that the farmers organisations have accepted the invitation, the committee will go for the meeting with the Centre.

It was decided during the meeting of the Punjab farmers organisation.
It has also been decided that if the Punjab government would not call a Vidhan Sabha session, then they would gherao the Congress leaders.
The farmers protest is being staged nationwide following the passing of the three Farm Laws 2020 — Farmers’ Produce Trade and Commerce (Promotion and Facilitation) Bill, 2020, the Farmers (Empowerment and Protection) Agreement on Price Assurance and Farm Services Bill, 2020, and Essential Commodities Act — in the Parliament.
