Taapsee Pannu shares why she skipped Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant's wedding: 'Should Be At Least Some Communication'
PTC News Desk: On Friday, the glittering social elite of Bollywood attended the lavish wedding of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant. Actress Taapsee Pannu, who was one of the select few who did not attend the wedding of the decade, has now disclosed her reason for doing so.
When questioned about attending the lavish Ambani wedding, Taapsee can be seen shrugging it off in a now-viral video footage. She continued by saying that she would not be there for the celebrations and that she would only like to go to a wedding if there is interaction between the guests and the host family.
"I've never met them in person. Weddings are, in my opinion, incredibly private. "I'm sure they have a lot of friends, but I would rather attend a wedding where there is at least some interaction between the host and the guest," the woman said.
On July 12, Anant and Radhika tied the knot in a lavish ceremony. Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone, Rekha, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Katrina Kaif, Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, and other celebrities were spotted attending. Priyanka Chopra Along with her husband Nick Jonas, Jonas also took a plane from the US and attended the Ambani wedding, looking like the perfect baraati while dancing to popular Bollywood songs.
International celebrities, as well as those from Bollywood, graced the occasion. Kim Kardashian, Khloe Kardashian, Luis Fonsi, Rema, and the singer of "Calm Down" were among them.
Other than Taapsee, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Karisma Kapoor, Saif Ali Khan, Kartik Aaryan, Akshay Kumar, Kangana Ranaut, and other celebrities from B-Town missed the wedding.
