When a fan inquired whether she intends to tie the knot, the former Miss Universe shared her perspective, saying, "I want to get married too, but one needs to find the right person. Marriage doesn’t just happen. It’s a bond of the heart, and that connection should be strong enough."
Sushmita Sen has been in the spotlight for her relationships, including her past association with IPL founder Lalit Modi. In 2022, Lalit Modi made their relationship official by sharing pictures and calling her his "better half" on Instagram. However, breakup rumours surfaced after he removed mentions of her from his bio and later introduced a new partner.
Before Lalit Modi, Sushmita Sen was in a long-term relationship with actor Rohmann Shawl. The two dated for three years before amicably parting ways in 2021. She announced their breakup on Instagram, emphasising that while the relationship ended, their bond of friendship remained intact. The two continue to be spotted together at social events.
On the professional front, Sushmita was last seen in 'Aarya 3', a crime-thriller series streaming on Disney Hotstar. Inspired by the Dutch drama Penoza, the show follows 'Aarya', a strong-willed woman who joins the mafia world to seek justice for her husband's murder.
