'Please aisa na kariye': Sonu Nigam’s concert turns chaotic as crowd hurls stones, bottles | Watch
PTC Web Desk: Singer Sonu Nigam’s much-anticipated performance at Delhi Technological University’s (DTU) Engifest 2025 took an unexpected turn on Sunday when a section of the massive crowd resorted to stone-pelting and bottle-throwing, disrupting the event.
With over one lakh attendees, the situation soon spiraled out of control, forcing Sonu Nigam to halt his performance midway. Concerned about the safety of his team, the singer urged the students to refrain from such behaviour.
"Main aapke liye aaya hun yahan pe so that we can all have a good time. I'm not asking you to not enjoy, but please aisa na kariye (I have come here for you so that we can all have a good time. I'm not asking you to not enjoy, but please don’t do this)," he pleaded, as per Hindustan Times.
Clips from the concert quickly went viral on X (formerly Twitter), showing Sonu Nigam performing his hit songs. At one point, a pink bunny band was thrown onto the stage, which the singer sportingly wore while continuing his performance.

This isn’t the first time Sonu Nigam has faced an unruly audience. In February 2024, he made headlines when his Kolkata concert turned chaotic. A viral video from that event showed him visibly frustrated, repeatedly urging the crowd to maintain order. At one point, he even remarked, "Agar aapko khade hona hai toh election mein khade ho jaao yaar (If you want to stand, stand in elections)."

Meanwhile, Sonu Nigam recently took a swipe at the IIFA committee, expressing his disappointment over not receiving a nomination at this year’s awards.
