Singer Hans Raj Hans’ wife Resham Kaur dies aged 62 after prolonged illness
PTC Web Desk: Renowned Sufi singer and former BJP MP Hans Raj Hans' wife, Resham Kaur, passed away at the age of 62 after battling a prolonged heart-related illness. She breathed her last this afternoon at Tagore Hospital in Jalandhar.
Resham Kaur was also related to Bollywood singer Daler Mehndi. Her son, Navraj Hans, is married to Daler Mehndi’s daughter, Ajit Kaur.
Her passing has left the Hans family in deep sorrow, with relatives and close friends gathering at their residence to pay condolences. Tragically, her demise comes just 16 days before Hans Raj Hans and Resham Kaur’s wedding anniversary on April 18.
According to sources, Resham Kaur had been suffering from heart-related complications for a long time. She was recently admitted to Tagore Hospital in Jalandhar, where she underwent a stent procedure. However, despite medical intervention, her condition did not improve significantly, and she passed away this afternoon.
Her brother, Paramjit Singh, confirmed that she had been hospitalised for the past five days. Her last rites will be performed on Thursday at 11 am in Hans Raj Hans’ ancestral village, Shafipur.
