According to a purported post, gangster Rohit Godara claimed that the shooting occurred on Victoria Island and in Woodbridge, Toronto. According to the post, he shot outside the singer's residence after he featured Salman Khan in a song video. He also made death threats to the singer in the alleged post. The gangster claims to be linked with Lawrence Bishnoi.
