'Shocked': Gippy Grewal breaks silence after gunshots fired outside his Canada home
PTC News Desk: Punjabi singer Gippy Grewal broke his silence and spoke out about the violent attack outside his home in Canada.
On Saturday, gunshots were fired near his home in Vancouver's White Rock neighbourhood. Within hours of the shocking incident, gangster Lawrence Bishnoi claimed responsibility, threatening the singer because of his close relationship with Bollywood actor Salman Khan.
Grewal confirmed the firing on Sunday and said that he was still in shock and couldn't process what had happened. The shots were fired between 12:30 and 1:00 a.m.

"This happened last night, between 12:30 and 1 a.m. My house is in West Vancouver, and the incident occurred there. We have no idea what happened or why it happened," he said. "When this incident took place, I was shocked because I had never been involved in any controversy before. I have no enmity to anyone, so I couldn't imagine who could have planned the attack," he added.
‘Have no friendship with Salman’
The singer went on to say that he has no friendship with Salman Khan and has only met him twice. Grewal told the news outlet that he met Salman during the trailer launch of Maujaan Hi Maujaan.
"The producer who backed the film (Maujaan Hi Maujaan) invited Salman to the trailer launch. I met him there. I first met him on the sets of Bigg Boss. I have no friendship with Salman Khan. Anger of it is being taken out on me. It is still shocking to me, and I am unable to comprehend what has occurred."
Reason behind attack
A post allegedly from Lawrence Bishnoi was shared shortly after the shocking incident. The threatening post claimed that the attack was motivated by the singer's close relationship with Salman Khan.
''Your close relationship with Salman will not save or protect you. It's time for your brother [Salman] to come to your defence. This message is also for Salman, who believes Dawood Ibrahim can save him,'' the statement said.
