RIP Fredericks: 'CID' actor Dinesh Phadnis dies aged 57; was on ventilator since Dec 1
PTC Web Desk: Actor Dinesh Phadnis, known for his role as Fredericks in the renowned series 'CID', passed away on December 5 at the age of 57. Dayanand Shetty, his co-star from 'CID', confirmed the sad news.
Dinesh Phadnis had been battling extensive liver damage and was on ventilator support since being hospitalised on December 1 at Mumbai's Tunga Hospital.
Dinesh Phadnis became a household name for his portrayal of Fredericks in 'CID', a show that ran for nearly two decades since its debut in 1998, starring Shivaji Satam as ACP Pradyuman.
Apart from 'CID', Phadnis also made a cameo appearance in the popular TV series 'Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah'. His dedication to 'CID' earned him widespread recognition and a special place in the hearts of viewers.
