Rajesh Khanna, also known as the 'Kaka' of Hindi cinema, captivated viewers with his versatile acting skills. His fame and craze were unparalleled at the time. ‘Anand’

Kaka's 1971 film had impactful dialogues that delivered the message "Death is just a moment." Anand, played by Khanna, has lymphosarcoma of the intestine, a rare type of cancer.

Despite knowing he won't live longer than six months, he keeps a positive attitude and seeks to make everyone around him happy. Amitabh Bachchan also played the lead role in the film.

Hrishikesh Mukherjee directed this cult classic, while Gulzar wrote the popular dialogues, which earned him a Filmfare Award for Best Dialogue. The film's dialogue 'Babumoshai zindagi badi honi chahiye lambi nahi' by Khanna remains unforgettable.

'Aradhana'

A story that sends the audience on an emotional rollercoaster. The romantic drama film, directed by Shakti Samanta and starring Rajesh Khanna and Sharmila Tagore, was one of the year's biggest hits. Superhit songs from the film include "Mere Sapno Ki Rani," "Roop Tera Mastaana," and "Kora kaagaz tha yeh man mera." The film's theme was inspired by the 1946 film 'To Each His Own'.

'Kati Patang'

Who can forget the timeless song 'Pyaar Diwana Hota Hai' by great singer Kishore Kumar? The hit song came from a romantic musical drama film starring Khanna and renowned actress Asha Parekh. Not only this song but also 'Yeh Shaam Mastani' and 'Yeh jo mohabbat hai' were directed by Shakti Samanta.

'Amar Prem'

'Amar Prem,' one of the most iconic films of all time, offered the unforgettable dialogue 'Pushpa, I hate tears,' and co-starred legendary performer Sharmila Tagore with Khanna in the lead.

Screenwriter Ramesh Pant wrote the line that is still etched in minds and souls. Shakti Samanta directed the official Hindi version of the Bengali film 'Nishi Padma'.

'Haathi Mere Saathi'
