PTC Web Desk: Renowned actress Radhika Apte has announced that she is expecting her first child with her husband, music composer Benedict Taylor. The couple shared the news at the BFI London Film Festival on October 16, where Apte made an appearance on the red carpet, revealing her baby bump while attending the screening of her latest film, 'Sister Midnight'.

Although Radhika Apte did not directly address her pregnancy in her social media posts—simply captioning her photos from the event as "SISTER MIDNIGHT UK Premier #lff2024"—the pictures in which she wore a stunning black off-shoulder midi dress, with her hair styled elegantly in a bun, spoke volumes. Fans quickly picked up on the news and flooded her with congratulatory messages online.

One fan commented, "Ah! Congrats on the premiere and your pregnancy! You are magnificent on the red carpet." Another added, "Gorgeous. Congratulations Mumma Midnight too," celebrating both her film's premiere and her journey into motherhood.

Radhika Apte and Benedict Taylor, who have been married since 2012, are known for keeping their private lives low-key despite their active roles in the entertainment industry. The couple met in 2011 while Apte was on a sabbatical in London to study contemporary dance. They moved in together and later married in a small, intimate ceremony in 2012, followed by a formal celebration in 2013. They currently split their time between London and Mumbai.

Beyond this personal milestone, Radhika Apte has a busy professional schedule. She recently appeared in a cameo role in Sriram Raghavan's 'Merry Christmas', starring Katrina Kaif and Vijay Sethupathi. She is also set to star in the revenge thriller series 'Akka', alongside Keerthy Suresh, directed by debutante Dharmaraj Shetty.

'Sister Midnight', the film that brought Apte to the red carpet, is described as a "genre-bending comedy" focusing on a newlywed woman who uncovers hidden instincts leading to unexpected adventures. The film had its initial premiere at the Cannes Film Festival earlier this year.
