Punjabi comedian Harshdeep Ahuja, wife robbed in Rome, say 'police also didn't help us'
PTC Web Desk: Famous YouTuber and comedian from Delhi Harshdeep Ahuja, who is famous for playing the roles of father, mother and son together, has been robbed in Italy, where he has gone to spend vacation with wife Mehu Sharma. The couple recently got married.
Harshdeep Ahuja is today one of the most famous Indian YouTubers, thanks to his crazy Vine content. His channel has earned nearly 1 crore subscribers.
Taking to his Instagram handle, Harshdeep Ahuja wrote, "ROBBED IN ROME, ITALY. Me and wife are currently in Europe for our honeymoon trip. On 4th May 2 pm, we were in metro at Barberini station near Trevi fountain in Rome and 3 men robbed us inside the metro. They took my wallet from my pouch but fortunately our passports are with us. We lost all our cash which we had for our remaining trip of 10 days."
"I didn't try to fight back as they were in a group. We went to police station to report the incident to which we didn't get any help. Then we went to Indian embassy to report the same to which they told us they can't help us financially of course, they would if we lost our passports. Thankfully we have them with us. I'm sad to see that no local helped us or made any effort to offer help. I know this kind of incident can happen anywhere in the world but I'll still recommend not to travel Italy and specially not their subway."
