Padma Awards 2024: The central government has decided to confer Padma Shri - the fourth highest civilian award- on popular Punjabi actor Nirmal Rishi. Nirmal Rishi has received Padma Shri for her distinguished service in art.
Punjabi artist Pran Sabharwal has also received the Padma Shri for his distinguished service in the field of art.
Notably, ‘Padma Shri’ for distinguished service in any field. The awards are announced on the occasion of Republic Day every year.
