Oscars 2025 nominations: The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences will announce the Oscar nominations for 2025 today, January 23, following multiple delays due to the Los Angeles wildfires. Initially set for January 17, the announcement schedule was revised to accommodate the challenges faced by voters and the impact of the wildfires.
The nominations reveal is set for 7 pm IST and will be live-streamed from the Academy's Samuel Goldwyn Theater. Actor-writer-comedians Rachel Sennott and Bowen Yang will host the ceremony, unveiling the nominees across all 24 categories.

The LA wildfires prompted the Academy to extend the voting period and postpone the announcement twice, originally from January 17 to January 19, and finally to January 23. The Oscar Nominees Luncheon, typically held as part of the lead-up to the awards, was also cancelled.
Despite these disruptions, the main event—the 97th Academy Awards—remains on track and will take place on March 2, 2025, at the Dolby Theatre. Comedian and television host Conan O’Brien will headline the much-anticipated event.
