Conan O'Brien to make His oscars hosting debut
Emmy Award-winning television host, writer, and comedian Conan O'Brien will host the 2025 Oscars for the first time. Having earlier hosted the Emmys in 2002 and 2006, O’Brien is expected to bring his signature humour and charisma to the star-studded event.
Queen Latifah’s special tribute to Quincy Jones
The Oscars will feature a heartfelt tribute to legendary music producer Quincy Jones, who boasts an illustrious career spanning multiple decades with 28 Grammy Awards to his name. Queen Latifah will lead the musical tribute, as confirmed by executive producer Raj Kapoor.
"One of the most exciting things that we've worked on this year is a musical performance that will tribute Quincy Jones," Kapoor said in a press conference, as reported by Variety.
Star-studded performances at the Oscars
The event will also showcase electrifying performances, including a Wicked medley by Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo. Additionally, the ceremony will feature performances by: Blackpink’s Lisa, who recently starred in 'The White Lotus'; Doja Cat and Raye.
Best actor nominations for 97th Academy Awards
The nominations were revealed in January after voting was extended twice due to the devastating Los Angeles wildfires, which claimed at least 28 lives and caused massive property damage.
