Oscars 2023: RRR's 'Naatu Naatu' nominated for best original song
New Delhi, January 24: 'RRR' has scripted history. SS Rajamouli's magnum opus has been nominated for Oscars 2023.
The film's song, 'Naatu Naatu,' has officially entered the Oscar race in the 'Best Original Song' bracket.
Following a successful run at the Golden Globes and Critics' Choice Awards, the film has officially entered the Academy Awards race.
Previously, 'Naatu Naatu' won the Golden Globe for 'Best Original Song'. In the same category, the song also received the Critics' Choice Award.
The film was also named 'Best Foreign Language Film' by Critics Choice.
If 'RRR' wins an Oscar, it will be the most memorable, remarkable, and golden moment in Indian film history.

The story of 'RRR' is based on the lives of two Telugu freedom fighters, Alluri Seetharama Raju and Komaram Bheem. Ram Charan and Jr NTR played the lead roles. The film grossed more than Rs 1,200 crore worldwide. The film also starred Alia Bhatt, Ajay Devgn, and Shriya Saran.
The lyrical composition of 'Naatu Naatu' by MM Keeravani, the high-energy renditions of singers Rahul Sipligunj and Kaala Bhairava, the unique choreography by Prem Rakshith, and the lyrics by Chandrabose are all elements that combine to make this 'RRR' mass anthem a perfect dance craze.
