Music maestro AR Rahman discharged from hospital in Chennai, son shares health update
PTC News Desk: Music maestro AR Rahman has been discharged from the hospital in Chennai. His son Ameen while sharing the health update said Father felt weak due to dehydration.
Taking to Instagram, Ameen shared, "To all our dear fans, family, and well-wishers, I sincerely thank you for your love, prayers, and support. My father felt a bit weak due to dehydration, hence we went ahead and did some routine tests, but I'm happy to share that he is doing well now (sic)."
He also added, "Your kind words and blessings mean a lot to us. We truly appreciate your concern and continued support. Much love and gratitude to you all!" Later, his sister Raheema also shared the same message.
Earlier today, AR Rahman was admitted to a private hospital on Greams Road in Chennai after he complained of chest pain.
He was taken to the hospital at around 7:30 am, where doctors conducted tests, including an ECG and echocardiogram.
Last month, AR Rahman performed with Ed Sheeran at his concert in Chennai. A week later, he was also spotted at the music launch of his film Chaava.
Recently, Rahman's ex-wife Saira Banu also underwent a surgery after she was hospitalised due to medical emergency.
"On behalf of our client, Mrs. Saira Rahman, Vandana Shah and Associates issue the following statement regarding her current health condition. A few days ago, Mrs. Saira Rahman was hospitalized due to a medical emergency and underwent surgery. During this challenging time, her sole focus is on a speedy recovery," the statement shared on Instagram read.
