Kareena Kapoor playfully questions Alia Bhatt's singing skills in 'What Women Want 5' promo
PTC News Desk: Kareena Kapoor is set to return with the fifth season of her popular chat show, What Women Want. The trailer for the new season was unveiled by Mirchi Plus on Tuesday night, teasing a lineup of high-profile guests from Bollywood and beyond. The guest list includes Kareena’s sister-in-law Alia Bhatt, along with stars such as Aditya Roy Kapur, Sonakshi Sinha, Bhumi Pednekar, Neena Gupta, YouTuber-turned-actor Bhuvan Bam, celebrity chef Ranveer Brar, and Mandira Bedi.
One of the highlights of the trailer features Alia Bhatt, who opens up in a fun and engaging conversation with Kareena. Alia talks about how being on set serves as her “me time” and also reflects on her brief aspirations to become a singer. Alia recently sang a duet, Chal Kudiye, with Diljit Dosanjh for her upcoming film Jigra. However, Kareena humorously interrupts her, saying, "I don't think your voice is that good." Alia laughs and agrees, admitting that she'll stick to being a "bathroom singer."
The episode also delves into Alia's personal life, particularly her relationship with husband Ranbir Kapoor. During a playful game segment, Kareena asks Alia who has a better social media presence—her or Ranbir.
Alia cheekily holds up a placard reading ‘Me,’ but Kareena argues that Ranbir’s social media game is “excellent,” despite him not having an official account. Alia responds with a laugh, questioning whether Kareena means “posting or stalking,” alluding to the fact that Ranbir is rumored to have a secret Finsta account.
Apart from Alia, several other notable celebrities are set to appear on the show, each sharing personal insights. Aditya Roy Kapur, known for his private persona, declares in the promo, “I'm not a secretive guy. I'm an open book.” Neena Gupta makes a bold statement, saying, “I've learned that money can buy you everything.” Meanwhile, Bhumi Pednekar talks about her deep passion for acting, confessing, “It’s all I ever wanted to do.”
YouTuber Bhuvan Bam, who has successfully transitioned to acting, shares his thoughts on his career path. He humorously references Kareena’s iconic character Poo from Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, showcasing his comedic flair.
Mandira Bedi, in an emotional moment, opens up about coping with the loss of her husband, filmmaker Raj Kaushal, who passed away in 2021. Her candid discussion touches on grief and resilience, offering a touching moment of vulnerability.
Sonakshi Sinha also appears on the show, revealing a personal detail about her relationship with now-husband Zaheer Iqbal. She shares that she told him “I love you” within the first week of dating, giving fans an intimate glimpse into their love story.
Chef and actor Ranveer Brar, who co-stars with Kareena in The Buckingham Murders, talks about his recent experiences in South Indian cinema, humorously mentioning that he’s now receiving offers for "villainous roles."
With such a diverse mix of guests, What Women Want season 5 promises to be both entertaining and thought-provoking. The show will explore everything from lighthearted banter to deeply personal stories, continuing Kareena’s tradition of providing an engaging platform for open and honest conversations with her celebrity guests.
