Fans furious as CID makers confirm ACP Pradyuman's exit from the show with death sequence; who will be new ACP ?
PTC News Desk: It's end of an era....The makers of SonyTV's popular show CID have confirmed that ACP Pradyuman is no longer part of the story. The loss indeed feels personal specially for those who have grown up watching him solve crime after crime.
For those living under the rock, ACP Pradyuman is the protagonist of CID, one of the longest running and most watched show in Indian households. Earlier, the speculations were abuzz that Shivaji Satam wanted to take a break but what began as rumours turned out to be true after SonyTVOfficial confirmed the news. The channel took to their social media confirming actor's death with Satam's picture with a caption 'It's end of an era'.... 1998-2025'.
While fans have expressed agony over the announcement and said “What is this???? Do we really need this post? Really, you are going to end this character, the Era of CID, which we cherish—the perfect trio. Really? I mean, we were waiting for a plot twist and you do this to our most favorite character, our most iconic ACP sir? No, I’m not accepting it… I am literally not liking this at all… this post broke our hearts, really."
Another fan took it a step further, saying, “It’s not RIP to ACP Pradyuman. It’s RIP to CID. And RIP to Sony TV. Because with this one heartless move, you didn’t just end a character. You buried a legacy."
