Diljit Dosanjh's response to donating his song 'Lover' for Rocky Aur Rani: 'Main kitna ameer ho jaata'
PTC News Desk: Actor and singer Diljit Dosanjh is well known for his successful career in both fields. His remarkable acting has won him praise in the Hindi and Punjabi cinema industries, and his singing has won praise from all around the world.
Diljit disclosed in a recent interview with Sucharita Tyagi on her YouTube channel that he gave Karan Johar his song Lover for Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani at no cost to him. Diljit stated that since Karan Johar had shown interest in using the song, he did not think it was necessary to charge for it.

Recalling his conversation with the director when he first approached him, Diljit expressed his opinion, saying, "I am not friends with anyone as such." What good is it if I've worked with someone once and they need something and I can help them? I would have performed his surgery for free if I had been a doctor (laughs).
I perform a song for my buddies who are music producers if they do a song for me. What you can do for someone you already know is all that matters. That is the only thing. Nothing compares to what I provided for free.
"Woh mereko paise dete, main kitna ameer ho jata?" he continued. Aaya yeh achi baat hai unke chalo mann mein. So, even if we didn't get paid, how much richer would I have been if he had paid me? Even though we didn't get paid, we still didn't get to see one other. It's wonderful that he gave it some thought.
But since I don't need much and he has plenty of money, I told him to take it and utilize it. For those who are unaware, Lover plays in the background during a pivotal sequence in Rocky Aur Rani when Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt move houses.

The career of Diljit Dosanjh in Bollywood
Diljit debuted as an actor in Bollywood with Udta Punjab, starring Abhishek Chaubey. His final film appearance was in Rajesh A. Krishnan's Crew, which also starred Tabu, Kareena Kapoor, and Kriti Sanon. Alongside Parineeti Chopra, the actor portrayed the title character in the musical-biopic Amar Singh Chamkila.
On June 27, Diljit will feature in his latest Punjabi film, Jatt and Juliet 3, opposite Neeru Bajwa.
