Diljit Dosanjh's film on Jaswant Singh Khalra getting new title, check release details
PTC News Desk: Diljit Dosanjh's film based on human rights activist Jaswant Singh Khalra’s life has got a new title.
Previously titled 'Ghallughara,' the film has been renamed Punjab '95. The film will also have its premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF). Honey Trehan directs the biographical drama, which also stars Arjun Rampal and Suvinder Pal Vicky.
The film's first-look poster was released on social media on Tuesday.
Diljit took to Instagram to share his look from the film, writing, "Waheguruji ka Khalsa, Waheguruji ki Fateh! World Premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival. Presenting the first look of Punjab ‘95, a compelling story based on the life of human rights activist Jaswant Singh Khalra Ji."
Arjun Rampal has also expressed his excitement for the TIFF premiere.
"A very proud moment for us and a very important film for all. World Premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival! Presenting the first look of Punjab ‘95, a compelling story based on the life of human rights activist Jaswant Singh Khalra," he said.
During the militancy, Jaswant Singh Khalra fought against alleged fake encounters of Sikh youths by Punjab Police.
