Diljit Dosanjh joins Sunny Deol and Varun Dhawan for epic war drama 'Border 2'
PTC News Desk: Singer-actor Diljit Dosanjh has officially joined the cast of Border 2, which will also star Sunny Deol and Varun Dhawan. Sunny Deol took to social media to share the exciting news with fans, welcoming Dosanjh to the highly anticipated war film.
Posting a video, Deol wrote, "Welcoming Fauji @diljitdosanjh to the Battalion of #Border2 🇮🇳 (sic)." In the video, Dosanjh’s voice echoes a powerful line: "Iss desh ke taraf uthne wali har nazar jhuk jaati hai khauf se, inn sarhado par jab guru ke paas pehra dete hai." The stirring words reflect the patriotic spirit of the film.
Prior to this, Sunny Deol had also confirmed Varun Dhawan’s role in Border 2, heightening excitement for the project. The film is set to hit theaters during the Republic Day weekend on January 23, 2026.
Directed by Anurag Singh, known for films like Kesari, Punjab 1984, and Jatt & Juliet, Border 2 was first announced on June 13, 2024, coinciding with the 27th anniversary of the original Border. Promising to be "India's biggest war film," the movie aims to continue the legacy of its predecessor.
