Dilip Kumar Death Anniversary: On Dilip Kumar’s third death anniversary, Saira Banu shared an emotional note on Instagram. In her post, she revealed that the iconic actor "suffered from severe insomnia."
Saira Banu former co-star penned a lengthy and emotional note on her late husband Dilip Kumar's third death anniversary.
In her note, she wrote, “You see, Sahib (Dilip Kumar) was the greatest actor of all time. He had absolutely everything at his disposal, yet not many people knew that he suffered from severe insomnia. Before our marriage, even after taking pills, he would remain awake until dawn. However, once we got married and became essential to each other, he started sleeping just in time. He even gave me a cute nickname, endearingly saying, ‘Saira, you are my sleeping pill, you are my pillow.’ To this day, I burst into laughter remembering the charm with which he would say it,” said Saira.

Dilip Kumar played Football and Cricket. He was a football fan and played the sport till he was 57. Throughout his career, Dilip Kumar captained many Bollywood cricket teams in charity matches.
She added, in fact, he wanted to be a Sportsman at the national level rather than what destiny had in store for him"
She continued, “I am expressing my Love by writing this note to thank all of his admirers and fans, well-wishers, dearest friends and family who take the trouble of sending us lovely messages on occasion. It makes me happy that they all remember our important dates and pray for his well-being in the hereafter for Dilip Sahib is an inspiration for Six generations of actors as also for the coming generations.”
Saira Banu and Dilip Kumar tied the knot on October 11, 1966. They were married for 55 years, until his demise and despite the age gap of 22 years between them at the time of marriage, the pair remained together for life. The love between the two is visible even after Dilip Kumar's death.
