PTC News Desk: Tajinder Bagga, a BJP leader who has often sparked controversy with his statements, is now on the reality show Bigg Boss. Salman Khan announced Tajinder Pal Singh Bagga's entry into the Bigg Boss house at the 18th season premiere on Sunday.

The 38-year-old is associated with the Bharatiya Janata Party's youth wing, the 'Yuva Morcha'. He is currently the chairman of the group's Uttarakhand wing, but previously served as the BJP Yuva Morcha's national secretary.

Tajinder Bagga has been active in politics for many years, having joined the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) as a teenager. He founded the Bhagat Singh Kranti Sena in 2011, claiming it was tackling corruption. He earned substantial public attention for disrupting novelist Arundhati Roy's book launch and slapping advocate Prashant Bhushan in a Supreme Court office.

Bagga's profile grew further when Prime Minister Narendra Modi entered power in 2014. In 2015, Prime Minister Modi paid him a visit at home, praising Bagga's growing prominence on social media, which led to him being labelled a "Twitter troll" known for inciting controversy.

His tweets have frequently caused uproar. In 2018, he ridiculed actress Swara Bhaskar for a scene from "Veere Di Wedding." In 2020, he attacked Deepika Padukone for her support for students at Jawaharlal Nehru University following a violent event. He has also spoken out against Arvind Kejriwal, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader.

This season of Bigg Boss promises to be exciting, with 18 competitors competing for the coveted winner's trophy and a large cash prize.

Aside from Tajinder Bagga, the other participants are Karan Veer Mehra, Vivian Dsena, Shehzada Dhami, Avinash Mishra, Eisha Singh, Nyrraa Banerji, Gunaratna Sadavarte, Chaahat Pandey, Arfeen Khan, Sara Arfeen Khan, Hema Sharma, Rajat Dalal, Muskan Bamne, Shilpa Shirodkar, Alice Kaushik, Chum Darang, and Shrutika Arjun Raaj.
