Ankita Lokhande, born on December 19, 1984, as Tanuja Lokhan, is a renowned Indian actress celebrated for her portrayal in the television series Pavitra Rishta from 2009 to 2014. Hailing from Indore in a Marathi family, Ankita has two brothers, Sooraj and Arun, and a sister, Jyoti. Graduating and moving to Mumbai in 2005 to pursue an acting career, Ankita, an accomplished badminton champion in her early days, marked her acting debut with an award-winning role in Pavitra Rishta, alongside Sushant Singh Rajput.

Her success continued with accolades, including three Gold Awards, one ITA Award, and an Indian Telly Award. Venturing into films, Ankita made her mark with the debut in Kangana Ranaut's "Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi" (2019), earning a nomination for the Zee Cine Award for Best Female Debut.
