‘Attari Junction:’ Shooting begins at Attari Railway Station for upcoming film
Shooting begins for ‘Attari Junction’: Shooting of the upcoming Documentary Film titled, “Attari Junction – A 161 year old Historic Railway Station” begins at the Attari Railway Station, Amritsar.
This upcoming short Film will portray historical rich architecture of 161- year-old Attari Railway Station which is a blend of Indo-Islamic and Victorian architectural styles, arches, and ornate facades showcasing aura of grandeur and elegance of the architectural marvel of bygone era and has seldom been highlighted in any of the Heritage documentary films.

This Documentary film is being directed by Punjab’s eminent Author, Heritage Promoter & Nature Artist Harpreet Sandhu under the patronage of Sewa Sankalp Society and the script of the Documentary film has been written by Atul Tirkey, IRS Deputy Commissioner Customs, Attari and the Lyrics are penned by the famous Poet of the Country Padma Shri Dr. Surjit Patar
The commencement of the shooting of “Attari Junction – A 161 year old Historic Railway Station” began with the clap board Mahurat shot by Member Parliament Amritsar Gurjeet Singh Aujla, Vice Chancellor, Deputy Commissioner Amritsar Amit Talwar, IAS, Addl. Commissioner Customs Joginder Singh, IRS, Jt. Commissioner Customs Navneet Kaushal IRS, Deputy Commissioner Customs Atul Tirkey, IRS, Director AIPL Shamsheer Singh and other Land Customs officers were present during the ongoing shooting of the Documentary film at Attari Railway Station.
On the commencement of Film Director Harpreet Sandhu, and Deputy Commissioner Customs Atul Tirkey, IRS, recorded their respective screen plays with brief introduction about the theme of the upcoming Documentary film.
Director of the short Film Harpreet Sandhu stated that the shooting of this Film on Attari Railway Station will highlight the prominence of this seldom visited traditional Heritage Railway station of India which connects the railway journey of two nations and is at the last stretch of the Indo – Pak Border and the necessary permission for shooting of the Documentary film has been obtained from Northern Railway, New Delhi and Land Customs Attari.
