Actor Govinda, who was injured in accidental gunshot, discharged from hospital
PTC Web Desk: Veteran actor Govinda , who was in hospital since Tuesday after suffering an accidental gunshot wound in the leg, has been discharged.
A day prior to his discharge, Govinda’s wife, Sunita Ahuja, provided an update on his health. Speaking to the media gathered outside the hospital, she reassured fans that the actor is recovering well.
Sunita Ahuja expressed her gratitude, saying, "With everyone's blessings, including those of his fans, Govinda has fully recovered. We have been praying for him everywhere—in temples and dargahs. I would like to tell his fans not to panic. He is completely fine, and within a few months, he will be back to dancing. Thank you for all the support."
According to reports, the accident occurred when Govinda was cleaning his closet and accidentally misfired a gun, injuring his foot. The firearm had six bullets loaded at the time, and one discharged due to a broken lock, resulting in the injury. Sunita Ahuja, who was in Kolkata during the incident, rushed back upon hearing the news.
Doctors successfully removed the bullet and placed Govinda under observation. After a short stay, he was declared fit and allowed to return home.
