Aamir Khan calls on 'Dangal' girl Suhani Bhatnagar's family

PTC Web Desk: Aamir Khan visited the grieving family of 'Dangal' actor Suhani Bhatnagar at their Faridabad residence following her death. A circulating image captures Aamir Khan standing beside Suhani's framed picture, accompanied by her parents and other family members.

Suhani Bhatnagar, who succumbed to dermatomyositis on February 16 at the age of 19, had been undergoing treatment at AIIMS, Delhi. The onset of symptoms, marked by swelling in her left hand, began two months prior. Despite various medical efforts, the cause remained elusive, leading to her admission to AIIMS.

Pooja Bhatnagar, Suhani's mother, revealed Aamir Khan's compassionate connection with the family, noting how he stayed in touch and even extended an invitation to Ira Khan's wedding. She shared, "Aamir Sir always remained in touch with her. He is a nice person. We didn't inform him about her disease dermatomyositis as we were already very disturbed. We kept it to ourselves and didn't tell anyone... He bonded with Suhani from the time he came to know her."

Upon learning of Suhani's untimely demise, Aamir Khan Productions expressed deep sorrow and offered heartfelt condolences to her family. The production house acknowledged Suhani's talent and role as a vital team player in 'Dangal,' emphasising that she would forever remain a star in their hearts.

Suhani gained recognition for her portrayal of young Babita Kumari Phogat in the 2016 film 'Dangal.'
