Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains holds meeting with teachers’ union
Chandigarh, July 22: Following the directions of Chief Minister S. Bhagwant Mann, Punjab Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains, on Friday, held meetings with the delegations of teachers and employees unions of various cadres in the department. Presiding over the day-long meetings at Punjab Bhawan, Bains said that education department is on priority list of the Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann led state government. Also Read: India reports third Monkeypox case in Kerala The Minister said that he has carefully listened to the issues of all the teachers and staff and a possible solution would be worked out by taking action on these issues one by one. The representatives of all the unions spoke about reforms in schools, distance appointments and transfers of teachers, time allocation for teaching students in schools, seniority, recruitment to various posts for providing employment, teacher eligibility test, teacher leave and other issues.
