Earthquake tremors felt in parts of Chandigarh, Jammu and Kashmir
Chandigarh: Earthquake tremors were felt in parts of Punjab, Chandigarh, Jammu and Kashmir and neighbouring areas on Saturday at around 9:47 am.
The earthquake poured in around 09:47 am with several residents of Punjab, Chandigarh, Jammu and Kashmir, Noida, and other neighbouring areas taking to social media to report the tremors.

The residents reported that the ground shook for at least 20 seconds.
According to the information, an earthquake with a magnitude of 5.7 on the Richter Scale hit Afghanistan-Tajikistan Border Region at 9:45 am on Saturday, the National Center for Seismology stated.
Another user wrote: "That was a very strong earthquake. 7.3 on the Richter Scale, 189 KM WSW of Islamabad, Pakistan as per National Center for Seismology."
