Delhi University colleges reopen, guidelines issued

New Delhi, February 17: After two years of complete offline mode, the colleges of the University of Delhi reopen with all the Covid guidelines for all undergraduate and postgraduate courses on Thursday. As per the notification, colleges have to go completely offline and must adhere to revised guidelines. Those coming from outstations must quarantine for three days before attending classes, according to university guidelines. The administration has instructed its affiliated colleges, departments and faculties to ensure that all students enrolled in classes are vaccinated. Furthermore, colleges have been directed to encourage unvaccinated students to get vaccinated. Students return to colleges after 2 years As a huge number of students made their way to colleges in the north campus, the Vishwavidyalaya Metro Station at Delhi University was packed. Students who live out of Delhi are required to complete an isolation period of three days before they join physical classes at the campus. Students return to colleges after 2 years Adhering to Covid-19 protocols inside the campus such as wearing masks and maintaining physical distancing is mandatory. Classes and the campus have to be sanitised, ventilated and all arrangements must be made before students return to campus. The institutions have been ordered to keep adequate availability of thermal scanners, hand sanitisers and soaps. Students return to colleges after 2 years Students have been asked to be patient and cooperate with the management regarding hostel accommodations. The reopening of colleges for physical classes come as student bodies held protests earlier this month. The decision to reopen the institutions was taken after witnessing a decline in the number of Covid-19 cases in the national capital.
