Delhi Police nab three dreaded criminals linked to criminal gangs
New Delhi, September 29: The Delhi Police apprehended three alleged dreaded criminals affiliated with criminal gangs on Wednesday. The criminals were apprehended by a special team near the Baba Haridas Nagar Police Station.
The arrested criminals have been identified as Narender alias Devender (44), Mohit (25) and Bijender (39).
Narender (Panipat resident) was the main shooter for the Naveen Khati gang, and Bijender (Jhajjar resident) was a member of the Nitu Dabodia gang.
According to the police, both were involved in multiple murder and robbery cases. The three were apprehended when a special task force set up a trap outside the Baba Haridas Nagar Police Station on Wednesday after receiving specific information about Devender, officials said.
On Tuesday, a case was filed at the Baba Haridas Nagar Police Station, prompting the police to respond.
The complainant alleged that three people came in a Santro car to fill CNG when he was working on the CNG Pump on Mitraon Road. They refused to give them money after filling the CNG and instead brandished a pistol.

The Baba Haridas Nagar Police Station launched an investigation into the incident. According to officials, Devender Shooter, a gang member of the Naveen Khati gang, was also present in the car.
"A team of Special Staff was tasked to regularly make surveillance over the bail-out gang members of different gangs active in the district and adjoining states. the team was constituted to nab such criminals who roam in areas with illegal firearms and ammunition to commit crimes", police further said.
"CCTV cameras of the spot were checked to get some trail. The team followed the trail and as per clues, secret informers were deployed in the border areas so as to get some information about Devender. On Wednesday specific information was received by the team regarding Devender who along with his two associates will come into the area of Baba Haridas Nagar Police Station with illegal Arms and Ammunition. Accordingly, a trap was laid down in the area and all the three accused were arrested by the team", Police added.
Three illegal firearms and seven live cartridges were also seized from their possession.
