Delhi: 24-year-old Bride-to-be dies after falling from roller coaster in amusement park
PTC News Desk: A 24 year old woman died after falling from roller coaster in an amusement park in Delhi on Wednesday.
The deceased woman has been identified as Priyanka, a sales manager hailing from Chanakyapuri. She was at Fun and Food Village near the Kapashera border with her fiance Nikhil, on Wednesday afternoon, according to police. The couple had been enjoying water rides before moving to the amusement park section of the facility.
"During the roller-coaster ride, when the swing reached its peak, the stand broke, and Priyanka fell straight down," a police official said.
Priyanka suffered serious injuries and she was immediately rushed to the hospital where she was declared dead.
Priyanka's brother, Mohit, alleged negligence on the part of the water park. He claimed there were inadequate safety measures and that his sister was taken to the hospital too late.
"After Priyanka fell, she was taken to the hospital late, due to which she lost her life," Mohit said.
Priyanka and Nikhil got engaged in February 2025.
Police said the investigation is ongoing. The amusement park is yet to issue a statement on the accident.
