Delhi: Man kills live-in partner as she refuses to share phone password
New Delhi: In a shocking incident from the national capital, a 35-year-old woman was allegedly murdered by a 39-year-old man with whom she was in a live-in relationship. The accused allegedly murdered with a hammer after she refused to share her phone’s password as he found her on a call with someone else. As per the incident, the horrific incident took place in Vinod Nagar in East Delhi on Tuesday last week while the accused was arrested on Saturday. The victim was identified as Mamta Sharma who used to work as a private security guard. On Tuesday, her 17-year-old son found her lying dead with her head smashed. He also found a hammer lying next to her body. Upon receiving the information, the police reached the spot and suspected that Sharma’s live-in partner may have murdered her. The accused has been identified as Brahmpal Singh who was absconding after her death. However, the police arrested him from near Akshardham Mandir. During the interrogation, he confessed to having committed the crime. The Deputy commissioner of police (crime branch), Rakesh Paweriya, said that the deceased woman had left her husband 3 years back and had filed a divorce. She met Singh, who is a married man with three children, two years back. Reportedly, the accused has done odd jobs but currently, he had rented out his building in East Delhi’s Khichripur.
