Covid-19: No fine for not wearing mask in Haryana
Covid-19 Guidelines in Haryana: Not wearing a mask will no longer attract a fine in Haryana, said the Health Department of Haryana government in an order issued on Saturday. The notification released by the Government of Haryana said that rule that made wearing masks in public places and workplaces mandatory has been withdrawn with immediate effect. Earlier, not wearing masks in public places and workplaces used to attract a fine of Rs 500, which has been now lifted, as per the notification. However, people in the state have been advised to adhere to Covid-19 appropriate behaviour and maintain basic hygiene. Earlier, the Delhi Disaster Management Authority on Friday said that not wearing a mask will no longer attract a fine in the national capital. A day before, Maharashtra and West Bengal also decided to do away with Covid-related restrictions. The government of Himachal Pradesh, meanwhile, ended all restrictions that were imposed in the state to curb Covid-19 infections on Friday. The decision came after a steep decline in the positivity rate of cases in the state. The use of masks and hand hygiene would continue in the state as an overall response to the pandemic.
