COVID-19 India: Total cases surge to 78,64,811; Active cases reach 6,68,154
In a race to beat COVID-19, India's total cases have surged to 78,64,811 with 50,129 new COVID-19 infections.

In the last 24 hours, total active cases are 6,68,154 after a decrease of 12,526.
The total cured cases are 70,78,123 with 62,077 new discharges.
The worst affected state Maharashtra has 140702 active cases, with 1455107 recovered cases, 43152 deceased cases and 1638961 confirmed cases.
Second worst affected state is Andhra Pradesh with 31469 active cases, 765991 recovered cases, 6566 deceased and 804026 confirmed cases.
