Covid 19: All international arrivals to undergo 7-day mandatory home quarantine; read SOP
Amid the rising Covid-19 cases across the country, the Central Government has made it mandatory for all international arrivals to undergo seven-day mandatory home quarantine, followed by RT-PCR test on 8th day. The report will have to be uploaded on Air Suvidha portal.
The revised guidelines for international arrivals will come into effect from January 11 and will be applicable till further orders.
The revised order by the Central Government says that all international arrivals will have to submit complete and factual information in a self-declaration form on the online Air Suvidha portal before their scheduled travel, including travel details of the last 14 days. They will have to upload a negative Covid-19 RT-PCR report. The test should have been conducted within 72 hours prior to undertaking the journey.
Further, each passenger shall have to submit a declaration with respect to the authenticity of the report and will be liable for criminal prosecution, if found otherwise.
Earlier, the Centre had issued revised guidelines for mild and asymptomatic cases, while cutting the quarantine period after testing positive from at least 10 days to seven.

Meanwhile, India on Thursday reported a single day rise of 1,17,100 new Covid-19 infections. Active cases in the country have increased to 3,71,363.
On the other hand, more than 90 per cent of India's adult population has already got the first dose of Covid vaccine and on Friday, India reached the historic milestone of administering 150 crore vaccine doses.
