Coronavirus: Punjab reports 5,136 new cases in 24 hours; Mohali tops the list
Punjab on Wednesday reported 22 more deaths due to Covid-19 and 5,136 new cases of coronavirus in 24 hours, according to the update given by the state media bulletin.
With 5,136 new cases of Covid-19, Punjab's infection tally has increased to 7,28,042 while the death toll has climbed to 17,081.

The fresh coronavirus deaths in Punjab were reported from several districts including Gurdaspur, Amritsar, Hoshiarpur, Jalandhar, Fatehgarh Sahib, Mansa, and Mohali.
Meanwhile, the total number of active Covid-19 cases in the state stands at 40,319. Of fresh cases, Mohali topped the list with 765 new cases of Covid-19 followed by Ludhiana (638), Jalandhar (555), Hoshiarpur (508), Amritsar (345), Bathinda (342), Muktsar (237), Ferozepur (203), Patiala (203), Faridkot (178), Gurdaspur (149), Ropar (147), Pathankot (130), Kapurthala (128), Fazilka (121), Moga (102), Tarn Taran (97), SBS Nagar (66), Fatehgarh Sahib (61), Mansa (56), Barnala (55), and Sangrur (50).
A total of 1,206 patients are on oxygen support and 92 critical patients are on ventilator support, the bulletin added.
As many as 7,238 people recovered from the infection in 24 hours, taking the number of recoveries to 6,70,642, it said.
