Tarn Taran, Faridkot and Sangrur report fresh cases of coronavirus
The total number of coronavirus cases in Punjab crossed 1400 after fresh COVID-19 cases were reported from Sangrur, Faridkot and Tarn Taran on Tuesday. According to the information, Tarn Taran reported 47 new cases of the novel coronavirus, taking the total tally in the district to 87. Meanwhile, Sangrur reported 22 new cases, taking the total in the district to 85. Earlier in the day, Gurdaspur reported 42 new cases of the novel coronavirus out of which 28 are the Nanded pilgrims who had returned from Sri Hazur Sahib in Maharashtra. Likewise, Faridkot reported 26 new cases out of which 22 are the Nanded pilgrims. Likewise, Jalandhar had reported 9 new cases of the COVID-19, taking the total in the district to 137. Fazilka also reported 32 fresh cases taking the district count to 36, while Ludhiana reported 14 new cases of coronavirus. Muktsar also reported 15 new cases of coronavirus. Meanwhile, Patiala Civil Surgeon Dr. Harish Malhotra has deputed 2 epidemiologists to conduct contact tracing of Jaggu Bhagwanpuria in Patiala Central Jail, who tested positive for coronavirus in Batala.
