Coronavirus cases in Punjab rise to 5937; death toll 157; recovered 4266

The total number of coronavirus cases in Punjab has increased to 5,937 after 153 new cases of COVID-19 were reported in the last 24 hours, as of Friday evening. The death toll in the state has increased to 157 after 5 new deaths were reported from the state. Amritsar reported 3 new deaths while 2 new deaths were reported from Ludhiana. According to the media bulletin issued by the Punjab Health Department, Amritsar reported 11 new cases of coronavirus while 54 new cases were reported from Ludhiana. Jalandhar reported 19 new cases while Sangrur reported 18 new cases. Patiala reported 12 new cases, Gurdaspur reported 10, 6 from Tarn Taran and SBS Nagar each. Mohali and Moga reported 4 new cases each while Ferozepur reported 2 new cases. One new case was reported each from Pathankot, Hoshiarpur, Faridkot, Fazilka, Bathinda, Kapurthala and Barnala. Coronavirus outbreak 20 new positive patients in Jalandhar A total of 122 patients were declared cured and discharged in the last 24 hours. Of 122, 26 were from Jalandhar, 29 from Sangrur, 10 from Muktsar, 9 from Kapurthala, 6 from Fatehgarh Sahib, 5 from Moga and Gurdaspur, 3 from Fazilka, 2 each from Tarn Taran, Pathankot, Bathinda and 1 from Barnala. Coronavirus outbreak 20 new positive patients in Jalandhar Currently, Amritsar is on the top of the tally with 938 cases of coronavirus followed by Ludhiana at 971, Jalandhar at 774, and Sangrur at 511. Patiala has reported 351 cases of coronavirus while Mohali has reported 281 cases of COVID-19. Meanwhile, the Coronavirus tally of Tarn Taran has increased to 204 while the number of coronavirus cases in Hoshiarpur has spiked to 185. The coronavirus tally in SBS Nagar stands at 147, Muktsar at 133, Fatehgarh Sahib at 121, Faridkot at 111, Ropar at 113, Moga at 114, Fazilka at 101, Ferozepur at 102, Kapurthala at 106 and Bathinda at 100. -PTC News
