Mohali and Panchkula report fresh cases of coronavirus
Mohali reported seven new cases of coronavirus on Sunday taking the total count of COVID tally in the district to 167. Likewise, 10 new cases were reported from Panchkula. All nine of them have been admitted to the isolation ward of the civil hospital in Sector 6, Panchkula. Of 10 new cases from Panchkula, 6 are from Raipur Rani, 2 from Kalka (who returned from Delhi) and one from Sector 10 and Punjab's Dhakoli each. Likewise in Mohali, two men of ages 23 and 27, residents of Janta Colony, Nayagaon; 3 men of ages 21, 57 and 30, residents of Dera Bassi and a 32-year-old man and a 28-year-old woman from Lalru, tested positive for coronavirus. The Civil Surgeon Dr Manjit Singh informed that the 23-year-old and 57-year-old patients are the contacts of positive patients. The 30-year-old man had a travel history to Delhi. Similarly, the health teams have been sent to the area to take samples of the family members of the COVID patients and their contacts.
