Ministry of Home Affairs issues guidelines for coronavirus lockdown

The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) on Wednesday issued guidelines on the measures to be taken by the Ministries/Department of Government of India, State/ UT Governments and State/UT authorities in an order to contain the spread of coronavirus in the country. Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday announced the extension of the lockdown in the country. Meanwhile, air travel, passenger movements by trains, buses for public transport, metro rail services, Inter-district, and Inter-state movement continue to remain prohibited till May 3.

PM Narendra Modi had on Tuesday said that "Till April 20, all districts, localities, states will be closely monitored, as to how strictly they are implementing norms. The states which will not let hotspots increase, they could be allowed to let some important activities resume, but with certain conditions." -PTC News
