Coronavirus India: More Daily Recoveries than Daily New Cases for more than a month
Coronavirus India Updates: India on Wednesday continued to report a sustained slide in the daily new COVID cases. The country reported 62,224 daily new cases in the last 24 hours. Giving coronavirus updates, the Union Health Ministry stated that India reported 62,224 new COVID-19 cases, 1,07,628 discharges, and 2,542 deaths in the last 24 hours. Also Read | Government panel confirms first death in India after COVID-19 vaccination The death toll in the country has gone up to 3,79,573 while the active cases stood at 8,65,432. A total of 26,19,72,014 people have been vaccinated in the last 24 hours while 28,00,458 people were inoculated in the last 24 hours. The Ministry of Health stated that the recovery rate has increased to 95.80 percent while the weekly positivity rate drops to less than 5 percent, currently at 4.17 percent. The daily positivity rate at 3.22 percent, less than 5 percent for 9 consecutive days. As more people are getting recovered from COVID-19 infection, India’s Daily Recoveries continue to outnumber the Daily New Cases for 34 consecutive days now. 1,07,628 recoveries were registered in the last 24 hours. With substantially ramped up testing capacity across the country, a total of 19,30,987 tests were conducted in the last 24 hours in the country.
