3-year-old boy tests positive for coronavirus in Kerala, total cases in India rises to 40
A 3-year-old boy in Ernakulam in Kerala has been tested positive for coronavirus, taking the number of confirmed cases to 40 in India. As per the report, the boy had returned from Italy with his parents at Cochin International airport on an EK 503 flight on Saturday. Ernakulam District Medical Officer Dr. NK Kuttappan was quoted by news agency ANI as saying: "After universal screening at the Cochin airport, the child was transferred to Ernakulam Medical college. His father and mother have been put under observation in the isolation ward of the medical college." Meanwhile, over 3,000 fatalities have been reported across the globe with more than 1 lakh confirmed cases. The coronavirus has caused a major threat among the Indians as many people have decided not to celebrate Holi this year.
