Delhi Health Minister Satyendar Jain tests negative for coronavirus
Delhi's Health Minister Satyendar Jain, who was admitted to Rajiv Gandhi Super Speciality Hospital on Tuesday, has tested negative for coronavirus, a report said. He has complained of high fever and difficulty breathing. His condition is stable though he still has a fever. In a tweet on earlier on Tuesday morning, the 55-year-old Aam Aadmi Party leader had written: "Due to high-grade fever and a sudden drop of my oxygen levels last night I have been admitted to RGSSH. Will keep everyone updated". Satyendar Jain had attended an-all party meeting on Monday where Union Home Minister Amit Shah was also present. https://twitter.com/SatyendarJain/status/1272746079402881025?s=20 Recently, the Delhi Health Minister was asked if there have been discussions to extend lockdown in the national capital. He replied: “No, the lockdown will not be extended.” Delhi is the third worst-hit state with 42,829 cases out of which 25,002 are active cases while 16,427 have been cured and discharged. A total of 1400 patients have succumbed to the pandemic in the national capital. He was quoted by news agency ANI as saying: "Till June 15, there will be 44,000 cases and 6,600 beds will be needed. By June 30, we will reach 1 lakh cases and 15,000 beds will be required. By July 15, there will be 2.25 lakh cases and 33,000 beds will be needed. By July 31, 5.5 lakh cases expected and 80,000 beds will be needed.” -PTC News
