"Less and less people in Delhi are now requiring hospitalisation", says Delhi CM
Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Sunday said that "Less and less people in Delhi are now requiring hospitalisation, more and more people are getting cured at home.
He added that "Whereas there were around 2,300 new patients daily last week, the number of patients in hospital has gone down from 6,200 to 5,300. Today, 9,900 corona beds are free."
Meanwhile, Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal on Sunday visited the 10,000 bedded Sardar Patel COVID Care Centre and Hospital at Radha Soami Beas in Chattarpur.
As per the report, Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) is the nodal agency to operate the 10,000 bedded Sardar Patel COVID Care Centre and Hospital at Radha Soami Beas in Chattarpur.
ITBP DG SS Deswa was quoted by news agency ANI as saying: "Our doctors, nurses, and paramedic staff will take care of this COVID-19 care facility. ITBP has experience of several months in handling COVID patients. Initially, ITBP was deployed at quarantine centres. We're also running a 200 bedded centre for the forces in Noida."

In the meanwhile, the total number of coronavirus cases in Delhi has increased to 97,200 cases including 68,256 recovered cases and 25,940 active cases, the last bulletin of Delhi Health Department stated.
