Coronavirus cases in Punjab rise to 2005; death toll 38; recovered 1794
The total number of coronavirus cases in Punjab has increased to 2005 after just 3 new cases were reported in the last 24 hours, as of Wednesday evening. The death toll in the state stands at 38. According to the media bulletin issued by the Punjab Health Department, Ludhiana, Jalandhar, and Amritsar reported one new case of coronavirus each. A total of 152 patients have been declared cured and discharged in the last 24 hours. Of 152 recovered cases, 4 from Jalandhar, 88 from Ludhiana, 2 from Gurdaspur, 30 from SBS Nagar, 15 from Patiala, 8 from Fatehgarh Sahib and 3 from Mansa. A total of 2 patients were declared cured and discharged from Pathankot in the last 24 hours. Amritsar is on the top of the tally as it has reported 308 COVID-19 cases so far followed by Jalandhar at 210, Tarn Taran at 155, Ludhiana at 169. Gurdaspur has 125 cases of coronavirus while SBS Nagar stands at 105 cases. Mohali tally stands at 102 cases while Patiala has reported 103 cases so far. Hoshiarpur has 95 cases of coronavirus while Sangrur tally of coronavirus cases stands at 88 and Muktsar at 65. A total of 59 cases have been reported from Moga, 60 from Ropar, 56 from Fatehgarh Sahib. Bathinda has 41 coronavirus cases so far. Mansa has recorded 32 cases while 29 cases have been reported from Pathankot and 33 from Kapurthala. 21 cases of coronavirus cases have been reported from Barnala so far.
