CM Bhagwant Mann to meet Kejriwal; announcement on free electricity likely
Chandigarh, April 12: Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann is scheduled to meet his Delhi counterpart and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convenor Arvind Kejriwal at 3 pm on Tuesday. According to the sources, fulfilment of poll promises made by AAP during the Punjab elections is high on the agenda. Meanwhile, an announcement on free electricity up to 300 units per month and waiver of all previous pending bills are likely to be made. Notably, this was Kejriwal's first guarantee. Also Read | Punjab Government appoints four new SSPs Furthermore, the crop burning issue is also likely to be discussed in the key meeting between the two CMs. CM Bhagwant Mann, on the other hand, is scheduled to meet President Ram Nath Kovind and Vice President M. Venkaiah Naidu in Delhi on Tuesday at around 11 am. This is Bhagwant Mann's first meeting with President and Vice President after being elected the CM of Punjab. The leaders are set to discuss several important issues and the meeting is likely to be constructive.
